Children are encouraged to throw cookies at their parents during the fun Cookie Dunk Contest at this year’s Kids Village at Legacy Village July 20 from noon to 5 p.m. The afternoon will be filled with music, demonstrations, games, and character appearances.
One of the highlights will be the Cookie Dunk Contest for kids and their parents, sponsored by Danny’s Organic Marketplace. Contestants will be given cookies to toss into a bowl of milk being held by – you guessed it – the participant’s parents. Rain ponchos will be provided so that mom and dad don’t get too soaked!
The Kids Village event, sponsored in partnership with Mix 106.5, Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital and The CW and will showcase a variety of stage events throughout the afternoon, including a dynamic program at 3 p.m. by ZOBAPAGO, a group that teaches kids life lessons through music. The songs and show encourage children to get active, stay healthy and keep learning.
Interactive booths will feature games and giveaways for the children, plus information for parents from exhibitors such as Jumpstart Gymnastics, Kindercare, Math Monkey, Playhouse Square, Barbizon School for Modeling and many more.
